Work with me

I offer a grounded, individual approach shaped by over 35 years in practice.

People come to me when they feel stuck, out of balance, overwhelmed, or when something in them knows that the usual ways of dealing with things are not getting to the heart of it. My role is not to force change, but to help recognise what has priority and support the conditions in which reorganisation can happen.

I work with Somatic listening, Homeopathy and Bowen Therapy, depending on what is most appropriate.

What I offer

Somatic Listening

Somatic Listening sessions are a body-informed way of working that helps slow things down and bring attention to what is actually happening in the system.

This may include tracking sensation, noticing patterns, identifying where things feel held, split off, over-driven or depleted, and supporting more honest contact with what is here. The work is paced carefully and does not depend on dramatic catharsis.

These sessions can be helpful for people who want a more grounded way of understanding themselves, especially when words alone are not enough.

Available online and, in some cases, in person.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy begins with careful listening.

A consultation looks at the whole pattern rather than just a named condition: your symptoms, your experience, your history, your responses, your sensitivities, and the way your system expresses itself. Where appropriate, I may prescribe a remedy as part of the process.

Sometimes the consultation itself brings important clarity. Sometimes a remedy is indicated. Sometimes what is most needed first is steadier observation.

Available online and in person.

Bowen Therapy

Bowen Therapy is a gentle hands-on therapy using precise rolling moves over muscles, fascia and connective tissue, with pauses in between to allow the body time to respond.

It can help the body shift patterns of tension, compensation and overload in a quiet but often powerful way. I tend to work simply and carefully, paying attention to how much the system can take in and respond to.

Bowen is offered in person in St Bees, Cumbria.

Who this is for

You may be coming with:

  • ongoing or recurring physical symptoms
  • stress, overwhelm, or fatigue
  • a sense of feeling stuck or not moving forward
  • something that doesn’t feel quite right, but is hard to name

You don’t need to have a clear explanation. We start with what is here.

How I work

I am not interested in applying a method for the sake of it. I am interested in what is most needed now.

That means I pay attention to:

  • what has priority
  • how much capacity is available
  • what seems to be organising the pattern
  • what kind of support is most likely to help

Sometimes less is more.
Sometimes the clearest intervention is the smallest one.

My work is shaped by close observation, practical experience, and a respect for the body’s own intelligence.
